ABOUT AALBORG MUNICIPALITY

The municipality of Aalborg has a sustainability strategy that focuses on “Energy consumption must be reduced by means of energy efficiency improvements and energy savings.” Furthermore, in 2009 the municipality signed an agreement with the Danish Society for Nature Conservation to reduce their CO2 emissions by 2% per. year. Since then, they have reduced by an average of 2.5% annually.

HOW TO OPTIMISE HEAT CONSUMPTION WITH OUR FANS

At Aalborg Municipality, the technical department has a strong focus on running the daily operations as reasonably as possible. With our Northern Air®, they can optimise their heat consumption by utilizing the heat that their existing ventilation system pumps into the room and hangs up under the ceiling. “Specifically, in relation to the installation, we had a challenge at a school where an HVLS ceiling fans could be used, to that the warm air is pressed downwards.” – Henrik Gøthgen,

Installation of Northern Air® = optimise heat consumption

Aalborg Municipality has installed two Northern Air®  HVLS ceiling fans in Grindstedhallen in Vodskov.

Henrik Gøthgen is predominantly positive and admits that several users and advisers have visited Grindstedhallen and given positive feedback on the summer effect – what we call forward mode – which creates a breeze around you.

In addition, many of the users are interested in the effect for the winter months and generally have a curious look at the HVLS ceiling fans.
